3-2-1 Drill – Academy of Self Defense

Looking for a workout that will challenge your strength, endurance, and mental focus? Look no further than the 3-2-1 Drill at the Academy of Self Defense in Santa Clara. Led by the dynamic Coach Andrea, this GRIT class is designed to push your limits and leave you feeling accomplished.

The 3-2-1 Drill is a timed round-based workout that will keep you on your toes from start to finish. It’s a unique combination of kettlebell exercises that will test your coordination, power, and overall fitness.

In each timed round, you’ll be working with a single kettlebell, either in the left hand, right hand, or double kettlebells. The rounds consist of 3 swings, 2 cleans, and 1 snatch. This sequence targets your posterior chain, building strength in your hips, glutes, and hamstrings. As you swing the kettlebell, feel the explosive power generated from your core and legs. The cleans and snatches require precision and control as you lift the kettlebell to your shoulder and overhead, respectively.

But that’s not all! The next set of rounds focuses on lower body and upper body strength. Using the same single kettlebell or double kettlebells, you’ll perform 3 squats, 2 push presses, and 1 thruster. Squats engage your quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes, while push presses and thrusters target your shoulders, triceps, and core. Feel the burn as you power through each rep, challenging yourself to maintain proper form and technique.

Coach Andrea will guide you through each round, providing expert instruction and motivating you to give your all. The supportive and energetic atmosphere of the GRIT class will keep you motivated and inspired, pushing you to new heights.

So, join us today at 10am for the 3-2-1 Drill with Coach Andrea. Get ready to sweat, feel the burn, and leave the class with a sense of accomplishment. The Academy of Self Defense is waiting to help you reach your fitness goals and have a blast while doing it!
