AZ Rep. Gosar Introduces GRIP Act to Ban Federal Funds for State Firearms Registries

Arizona Representative Paul Gosar and Mississippi Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith have launched the Gun-owner Registration Information Protection (GRIP) Act. The invoice would prohibit federal funding of or help for databases that listing firearms lawfully owned or possessed, or people who lawfully own or possess them.

Current law prohibits the federal authorities from storing data obtained through the FBI’s NICS background verify course of.
