Houston Ex-Cop Held an Air Conditioning Repairman at Gunpoint Claiming Ballot Fraud

A former Houston police captain was charged with assault on Tuesday after working a person off the highway and holding him at gunpoint in an effort to show what authorities have known as a bogus voter fraud scheme.

Mark Aguirre claimed that an air conditioner repairman was the mastermind of an enormous voter fraud scheme. Aguirre stated the person’s truck was stuffed with fraudulent ballots when he ran his SUV into it on Oct. 19, in accordance with authorities.

“The defendant stated (the driver) has approximately seven hundred and fifty thousand fraudulent mail ballots and is using Hispanic children to sign the ballots because the children’s fingerprints would not appear in any databases,” in accordance with an arrest affidavit.

Aguirre informed police he and a few mates arrange a “command post” at a Marriott resort in suburban Houston and performed 24-hour surveillance on the repairman for 4 days, in accordance with the affidavit. He stated he then ran the person’s truck off the highway, pointed a gun at him, compelled him onto the bottom and put a knee on his again, the affidavit stated.

Police who responded to the incident searched the truck and located solely air-con components and instruments, authorities stated. Authorities didn’t identify the truckdriver, who was not harm.

“A lengthy investigation … determined allegations of election fraud were unfounded and no evidence of illegal ballots was found,” Houston police stated.

Aguirre informed a police officer on the scene, “I just hope you’re a patriot,” in accordance with the affidavit.

Lt. Wayne Rubio with the Texas Attorney General’s Office later informed police that Aguirre had requested his workplace to conduct a visitors cease for his investigation and when Rubio stated he couldn’t try this, Aguirre stated he would do it himself and “make a citizen’s arrest,” in accordance with the affidavit.

Aguirre, 63, has been charged with aggravated assault with a lethal weapon. Court information didn’t listing an legal professional for Aguirre.

If convicted, Aguirre faces as much as 20 years in jail. Police haven’t recognized every other suspects.
