Hey dealt with something like this. I was never home so I used my LGS that I was always at as a source and destination for the warranty work.
Contact Colt customer service, they should be able to process an RMA or service for you. Just have all the bits that fell out, the original case, and no ammo/accessories in the case (you may not get it back if you send it with bits attached)
UPS/Fedex are being cunts about shipping guns rn, so it might work out if your LGS is willing to work with you on the technically transfer.
