r/weapons – Took Apart Our Type 4.

A researcher contacted us to ask what the serial quantity was on our Japanese Type 4 Garand copy (aka the Japanarand). The serial numbers on these are in odd locations, like the underside of the barrel and sights, so we needed to pull it aside to test. And since it’s an M1 copy, it comes aside similar to an M1 besides that the set off group would not detach earlier than pulling the motion and barrel out of the inventory. And the 2 halves make a neat photograph.
