Summer’s Over – Academy of Self Defense


As the summer sun sets, we’re cranking up the heat one last time with Coach Serra’s sizzling “Summer’s Over” workout of the day (WOD). This WOD is a celebration of the season we all love and a fantastic way to welcome the coming fall.

Burpees: Start with 20 burpees – a perfect way to get your heart racing. Think of them as a final farewell to those beach days.

Single-Arm Deadlifts (SA DLs): With 15 SA DLs, you’ll work on your strength and balance, bidding adieu to those summer indulgences.

Squats: 10 squats to keep those legs looking great as you transition from shorts to jeans.

Bag Attack: 5 bag attacks – say goodbye to beach bags and hello to backpacks with style.

Clean & Press: 1 clean & press to cap it off like a grand finale fireworks show.

Swings: 1 final swing to end your summer fitness journey on a high note.

Foot Elevated Mountain Climbers: And the pièce de résistance, 1 foot elevated mountain climber to elevate your heart rate and leave you feeling like a champ!
