The Presidential race for 2020 appears to have wound up with a Trump loss and a Biden win. Now what?
Many gun house owners most likely maintain that the election was stolen. The courts sat on their hands. The legislatures of the battleground states licensed the votes. And the Congress selected to look away slightly than look into the proof of fraud.
Whether any additional investigation of that proof happens within the forthcoming weeks or months stays to be seen. There is little purpose for optimism.
The run-off races in Georgia are over. We now have Democrat management of the chief department and each chambers of the legislative department. Any hope for sustaining conservative management of the judicial department will probably be short-lived. A pack-the-Court marketing campaign is beneath approach and should very effectively succeed. It is a digital certainty that none of those three branches of our federal authorities will elevate a finger to safe the integrity of future elections.
The drawback, it appears, lies within the hands of the states’ legislatures, i.e., to safe the integrity of their respective electoral processes, each federal and state election processes. The failure in 2020 should be laid on the ft of those that are accountable…the states’ legislatures. Especially the legislatures of the battleground states.
These legislatures – which is to say legislators – may repair these issues. If solely they might be impressed to do their obligation. They didn’t do it in 2020. Perhaps they had been simply hoping for the perfect. Or they had been lazy, or distracted, or their failure was because of another trigger I fail to think about.
In any case, all politics is native. If we gun house owners (and conservatives of all stripes) are to protect the republic, we should act regionally on our respective state legislators. We should persuade them to repair the issues of their respective state election course of legal guidelines or pay the value. That value is to face decided opposition in forthcoming primaries.
At this juncture, nothing else issues. It issues by no means whether or not a park is constructed or roads are paved in our state electoral districts. It issues solely that Republican (and any remaining Democrats who imagine in actual democracy) repair and implement their respective state election legal guidelines. Restoring Americans’ religion within the electoral course of is extra vital than every other problem going through the nation now.
I earnestly ask right here: Is there every other avenue to restoring democracy in America? Should any reader consider some various avenue, please publicize it. Should we fail to establish a method ahead by way of common political order then what stays? For us to easily oil the locks of our chains? Or locks of another kind?
