Skinner Sights now makes Skinner Optics with their inaugural scope, the 1-6 (Kat Ainsworth for TTAG)
For years now Skinner Sights has centered on irons, particularly for lever-action rifles. Their ladder sights have been and are getting used for the 150th anniversary Marlin Model 444, amongst others. This is one thing I hope Ruger retains rolling now that they’ve bought the Marlin kind.
Skinner additionally has a broad number of aperture and different sights out there for every little thing from Ruger to Winchester to Henry (and extra). But now they’ve branched out into rifle scopes. Skinner Sights, below the title Skinner Optics, has launched a 1-6×24 scope.

The Skinner Optics 1-6×24 appears well-made proper out of the container. It’s a lighter-weight optic designed to be used on no matter rifle platform you select – bolt, lever, AR. As the title suggests it has a 1-6x magnification vary and a BDC reticle so will deal with your common deer hunt, hog hunt, or day on the vary.

Of course, the brand new optic isn’t only for lever weapons and hunters. Whatever rifle you select to place it on, the Skinner 1-6×24 has clear glass, well-defined changes — none of that mushy or slippery turrents some scopes provide you with — and correct eye reduction.
From what I do know of Andy and his spouse Sheila’s looking habits, I daresay this scope has been put via the wringer on their finish. And with an MSRP of $299 – currently marked down to $249 – it might seem, at first look, to outperform its value level.
